4 Tips For Becoming An Influencer

In this article, I discuss my top 4 tips for becoming an influencer. While it is something that doesn’t happen instantly, it’s possible to achieve in any industry.

An influencer is most simply defined as someone who has the capacity to have an effect on the behavior, character, or development of someone or something. We are constantly influenced by people every single day.

Not sure who exactly would be classified as an influencer? Well, lets start with the basic ones. Top politicians, athletes, actors, singers, and business people are just a few of the people who influence us.

Becoming an influencer is extremely valuable because it gives you the ability to get your ideas across to other people while changing the lives of others at the same time. In this article, I share 4 tips for becoming an influencer:

1. Learn To Listen

In order to really become an influencer, you have to be a really good listener. The best influencers are ones that are able to listen and understand the needs of others. Before you can really push ideas or change perspectives, you need to know what others are feeling and thinking.

Every great influencer is an even better listener. They have the ability to sit down and hear out what other people need/want. After that, it’s easy as 1-2-3 to deliver.

2. Focus Your Voice

Every influencer in the world has found their voice and a way to niche it down to a specific audience. It’s a very tall task trying to influence the whole world from the beginning. You have to start with one voice and one target market.

Find the target market that your messages resonate with the best and share your thoughts to them. Start small and scale fast. It’s just like anything else you’ll ever hear.

3. Give Before You Get

If you want to be an influencer because you think it’ll make you wealthy or allow you to sell thousands of copies of your book, you’re in it for the wrong reason. You’ll never end up being successful with that mindset.

Successful influencers give without ever wanting anything in back. My blog is an example of my influence. I started my blog just so that I could share the things I was learning with others who may be interested. I didn’t have an ulterior motive, but I quickly realized people were looking up to me and asking me to share more of what I knew.

4. Be Different

The greatest quote I have ever heard about having influence is, “You cannot expect to influence the world by being like everyone else.” That is absolutely true. If you’re trying to be just like another influencer or others, your voice will get lost in the crowd.

Miley Cyrus is absolutely ridiculous but she’s one of the biggest influencers in the world. Why? Because, she’s unique in her own way. You need to find a way to separate yourself from the crowds.

Conclusion

Becoming an influencer isn’t easy and it sure as hell doesn’t happen quickly. However, if you have the right approach, you can become an influencer in any space.

How To Become A Millionaire By The Time You’re 30

In this article, I share my personal guide on how to become a millionaire by the time you’re 30. See the exact tips and strategies I recommend.

While money shouldn’t be the only thing you go after in life, it’s definitely a great reward for your successes. What you do with your money is clearly up to you, but money is very powerful.

It gives you freedom and the ability to change numerous things. One goal that many people have is to be filthy rich, but they wait too long to set that goal. I made a conscious decision to become financially free by the time I’m 25 years old.

I’m only 21 years old and have a while to go to fulfill that goal, but I’ve been fortunate enough to learn some big-time secrets of conquering wealth from some great minds.

In this article, I share my guide on how to become a millionaire by the time you’re 30:

Make The Decision Early

When I turned 19, I made up my mind that I was going to be financially free by the time I’m 25. You need to decide what exactly it is that you want. If you want 1 million dollars by the time you’re 30 years old, tell yourself just that.

After you’ve set the goal, you need to believe it yourself. Tell yourself all the ways you plan to achieve that goal, create dream boards with motivation for what you’re going to do with the money and surround yourself with those kinds of thoughts every single day. What you believe is truly what you achieve!

Be Relentless

Every single successful people I know share one common characteristic. They refused to give up and that is why they are successful today. Making $1 million dollars is extremely tough, if it wasn’t….everyone would be doing it.

If you want that goal, you need to be relentless with it. Put in the work you know it will take to get that far and don’t stop until you get to your goals. Hard work is the only true answer for massive success.

Make Money Your B*tch

Each day I see and talk to people who are slaves to the money. They work day and night doing a job they hate to impress the people they don’t like. If that’s your approach to money, you’re never going to get wealthy.

While most people take their extra money and put it in their savings, you need to do the opposite. Save a minimal amount and invest your cash into things that have the potential to make you income while you sleep. Having multiple income streams is just the beginning to earning millions of dollars.

Don’t Get Comfortable

If you get comfortable, you get screwed. Why do we have such a large middle class? People want a half-decent life and they are absolutely okay with it. Millionaires on the other hand aren’t satisfied until they get where they want to be.

If you want your situation to change, you’re not going to be comfortable. You have to choose between comfort and change in order to be successful. Making a million dollars is never easy and you have to be awfully careful of getting comfortable somewhere along the way.

Surround Yourself With Others On The Same Mission

The best decision I made when I became an entrepreneur was to surround myself with hundreds of other like-minded individuals. Even though we weren’t directly competing in the business world, the competition was still there.

Imagine surrounding yourself with individuals who are accomplishing new things on a daily basis. They not only keep you focused but give you that extra motivation to work a little harder each day. Your network is your net worth.

Conclusion

In this article, I shared my guide on how to become a millionaire by the time you’re 30. If you’re serious about it, take massive action with the steps discussed in this post!

5 Signs You Aren’t Ready To Handle The Entrepreneurial Life

Here are 5 signs you aren’t ready to handle the entrepreneurial life. In this article, I dive into specific things that will go against you when you decide to become an entrepreneur.

Many people as of late have caught the entrepreneurial bug. However, having the thoughts of being an entrepreneur and actually becoming one are completely two different things.

It may look pretty on the outside, but becoming an entrepreneur can be one of the most stressful and challenging experiences you can take on. This post isn’t an effort to scare you away from entrepreneurship, but rather to put some rarely talked about facts in the spotlight.

Here are 5 signs you aren’t ready to handle the entrepreneurial life:

1. You love the idea of success, but you hate hard work.

The only ‘easy’ way to get rich is by winning the lottery or by doing something illegal. If you think by just adding the title of ‘entrepreneur’ to your business card will make you instantly successful, you’re in for an awful surprise.

If you want to be successful, you have to work hard. If you aren’t a hard worker or can’t stay committed to your craft, entrepreneurship is the last career for you. Just because it looks easy doesn’t mean it really is.

2. You constantly need directions from other people.

There is no book in the world that can give you the perfect formula for being successful as an entrepreneur. Starting a successful business isn’t a math equation that you can find the answer to from others.

You need to put yourself out there and hope for the best. If you are constantly looking for direction or guidance from others, entrepreneurship isn’t for you. The best entrepreneurs are out-of-the-box thinkers who fend for themselves and take massive action on their own ideas.

3. You let your emotions get in the way of things.

Being an entrepreneur is an endless roller coaster ride that is filled with surprises. One day you will be on top of the world while your next day will be a low. That is just what the entrepreneurial life is all about.

When you start a business, your business comes before everything else. You have to be unselfish and make decisions that will help your business even if it won’t help you.

4. You have a hard time completing things.

Every successful person in the world has failed numerous times before mastering their craft. The reason why so many people do not achieve their goals is because they quit too soon.

In order to be successful, you need to be persistent and believe in your vision/ideas. If you can’t do this, you will not make it as an entrepreneur.

5. You love being comfortable and having a sense of security.

Starting a business is rough because you have no guarantee of getting paid. You can make billions of dollars or you can make nothing. It’s in your hands to ensure your own success.

If you enjoy being comfortable or having a sense of security, entrepreneurship is not the answer. If you aren’t willing to take risks and believe in your own dreams, it’s almost impossible to create a successful business.

Conclusion

In this article, I discussed 5 signs you aren’t ready to handle the entrepreneurial life.

How To Maximize Your Time And Make The Most Of It

In this article, I discuss how to maximize your time and make the most of it. From managing numerous businesses to speaking all over the nation, I have to be very good with my time.

On the outside, people are often surprised by how many different things I am working on. I am working on two startups simultaneously while doing some other things as well.

From offering consulting to doing speaking, I spend a lot of time on my personal brand as well. The magical question I always get asked from people, how do you manage all these things together?

In this article, I’m going to share with you tips on how to maximize your time and make the most of it:

Set Daily Goals

Right after I wake up each day, I create a short list of goals that I need to get done. Instead of thinking in longer units of time, I tend to create goals for shorter periods of time.

I create long-term goals for each quarter, but those goals cannot be achieved unless I gain progress on a daily basis. My goals each day allow me to be efficient and effective when trying to get to my bigger goals.

Prioritize Daily

There is never a time when I can’t find something productive to do. However, that’s what makes it the toughest challenge of all. I have to prioritize everything on my to-do-list from things that have to get done to things that aren’t necessarily that important.

When you prioritize your daily tasks, you are far more effective. Instead of trying to do it all, I focus on the specific things that are going to make or break my businesses on a given day.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

When I first became an entrepreneur, I wanted to do every little thing in my business myself. I realized that if I stayed on that path, I would go crazy. I had to learn to trust others and delegate tasks to trusted people.

There are specific things that cannot be done right unless I do it. There are a ton of other things that can be done perfectly without me really having to spend much time on it. I try to separate these tasks out by allowing others to do the things that don’t need my attention while I focus my efforts on things that need me.

Trim Meetings/Appointments

The number one time killer on a given day are meetings or appointments. Ones in person are probably the worst while ones on the phone can be just as bad. I’ve been able to earn so much more free-time by simply trimming the fat from meetings/appointments.

Try cutting your 30 minute meetings into 15 or 20 minutes. Try cutting your 1 hour meetings into 30 or 45 minutes. From your meetings, it’s a good idea to observe what things usually end up taking up a lot of precious time.

Always Get Better

People have often said that I’m really fast at getting things done. Not only am I fast, but I try to be effective when getting things done. It’s crucial to find a proper balance between accuracy and speed.

Never be satisfied with your results. Always try finding ways to improve yourself. Each time I go through a task or activity, I ask myself what things I can do to be better at it. The next time around, I try to improve on my speed and accuracy.

In this article, I shared my tips on how to maximize your time and make the most of it. What are some tips that have worked well for you?

5 Reasons Why Working For Someone Else Won’t Get You Rich

In this article, I share 5 reasons why working for someone else won’t get you rich. I used first-hand examples to showcase this comparison within this post.

“Build your dream or someone else will hire you to build theirs.”

Every morning I wake up and see those words framed in the wall right in front of me. That is one of the most powerful quotes to me. It reminds me that if I don’t do chase my dreams, I’ll just be helping someone else with theirs.

People often times have big dreams of being their own boss, but something always holds them back from taking the leap forward. In this post, I want to change your mind and help you jump into entrepreneurship.

Here are 5 reasons why working for someone else won’t get you rich:

1. You’re Building Someone Else’s Wealth

When you are working for someone else, you are essentially building their business. Your salary is probably fixed and it doesn’t matter how well you do since it probably won’t affect your annual income very much.

If your salary is $100,000, then you know for a fact that the person running the show is making a lot more than that. Worst of all, everything useful that you do for the business is an asset to the owner, not you.

2. Time Is Greater Than Money

The vast majority of jobs across the board require you to trade your time for a salary. In exchange for a set number of hours each month, you are receiving a set number of dollars.  However, I have learned one very valuable thing over the years. You can always get more money, but you can’t ever get your time back.

To me, time is the most valuable commodity that is out there. If you’re ever working in a place where you’re forced to trade time for dollars, you’re never going to get rich. You only have 24 hours in a day and after some point, you can’t put in any more hours.

3. You Save Instead of Invest

For some reason, entrepreneurs and employees think very differently. Entrepreneurs are always looking to diversify and invest to increase their assets. Employees on the other hand are always looking to save up money for a rainy day.

Employees always think they must have a large rainy day fund just incase they get laid off or something goes wrong at their company. By saving instead of investing, you are giving up the opportunity to potentially make a lot of money.

4. You’re Too Comfortable

You have to take risks to become really wealthy in life. Entrepreneurs are willing to put it all on the line and take the biggest risks necessary to be successful. Remember, the bigger the risk….the bigger the reward.

When you work a job, you become too comfortable. Many people ask themselves why they should take a big risk and potentially lose it all when they can just let things continue as they have been.

5. You Stop Learning

When you work a 9 to 5 style job, it becomes really hard to continue educating yourself outside of your job. By the time you get home from all that traffic, you’re tired and exhausted.

People that work for others are comfortable and don’t really give a shit about learning more. Entrepreneurs on the other hand are opportunists. They understand that if they can learn something before others, they can capitalize on that and make a lot of money.

Conclusion

If you find complete happiness working at a job, by all means don’t give that up. At the end of the day, it’s really about how happy you are. In this article, I shared 5 reasons why working for someone else won’t get you rich.

The Night I Almost Died And What I Learned From It

In this article, I share a very personal story about the night I almost died and what I learned from it. This was one of the scariest moments of my life that took place a few years ago.

Almost two and a half years ago, I went through a horrifying experience. The incident scared the shit out of me so I never really talked much about it.

However, looking back…I think the experience taught me a lot. Thus, I am going to be sharing my story of what happened that night and the things I learned from it.

The Story

It was about 2 or 2:30 AM and I decided to head back home. I hadn’t taken a sip of alcohol or been under the influence of anything so I was perfectly fine.

The drive back to my house was about 30 miles, which was something I had routinely been doing for years now. The freeways were typically empty at these times and I would get home within 30 minutes.

About halfway to my house, a SUV (presumably a drunk driver) nailed my car at about 80 miles per hour. At this time, I was driving a ’99 Corolla that got slammed on the divider on the left and spun across 7 lanes before getting thrown over to the exit lane.

I had blacked out completely after hitting the divider and just remembered spinning. I would wake up a few minutes later when a crowd of other drivers came to my door checking to see if I was okay.

I was okay, but the other driver had disappeared to never be seen again. Nevertheless, I was really lucky. Can you imagine being inside a vehicle spinning across a major freeway while you are helpless and can’t do much? That was exactly my situation and I was thankful that no vehicle had nailed me during that time.

I just had some bruises, scratches and horrific memories. The car was completely totaled and would never be used again. Below are some of the lessons I learned from this experience.

Life Is Unfair

The truth about life is that it’s really unfair. Did I do anything wrong that night? No. I mean I could have gone home earlier or at a different time, but thinking like that is just absolutely ridiculous.

The truth of the matter is that I was at the wrong place at the wrong time. However, that’s how life is. You never know when the prize of life can be taken away from you so make the most of it every single day.

Keep Moving

The day after the accident, one of my best friends was having a birthday party. I had thoughts of never driving again and many other stupid thoughts roaming around in my head. I could have just given up, but I quickly learned that you have to keep moving in life.

Life will hit you hard and get you down. As long as you keep moving forward, you will eventually get past your current struggle. I snapped out of it, drove to my friends birthday party and had a great time. Always be moving in life!

Take Better Care of Yourself

You cannot be successful unless you are physically healthy. When I first started my entrepreneurial journey, I went on a fast food diet. Okay seriously, that’s not a diet but rather a death sentence.

I was too busy to cook my own food so I didn’t give two shits about my health. I was focused on being successful and I literally grabbed fast food 2 times a day. Not only that, but this death-like experience showed me that I can’t do anything unless I am physically and mentally there. Most importantly, I learned that you NEED to take care of yourself!

Conclusion

In this article, I shared a personal story of the night I almost died and what I learned from it. I hope you enjoyed!

10 Things Mentally Strong People Never Do

In this article, I discuss 10 things mentally strong people never do. Drawing from my own experiences through my entrepreneurial career, I gives you a first-hand perspective on what it takes to be mentally strong.

Ever since embarking on my entrepreneurial journey, I have realized that you have to master one thing to be successful. It isn’t your industry, people, technology, or anything else. The most important thing to being successful is mastering your own mind.

Everything that goes on around us and our reaction to it is a result of our mental thoughts. In life, we go through really good days and really shitty ones. Life wouldn’t be as great as it is unless we were tested at our weakest moments.

However, it is our reaction to these tough moments that define who we are as people. It defines how successful we can be and what we can achieve.

In this article, I’m going to share 10 things mentally strong people never do:

1. Regret The Past

Dwelling on the past will get you absolutely no where. You cannot hope to live an amazing life today if you’re too focused on the past. Mentally strong people do not live a life filled with regrets. Instead, they live a life filled with memories and embrace the past as a learning lessons.

2. Be Close Minded

Nobody in the world knows everything. The person who says they know everything is a complete fool themselves. Never be fearful of opportunity or seeing what the world has to offer. Mentally strong people will never be close minded because they understand the damage it will do.

3. Let Jealousy Ruin Them

I love watching people around me thrive and become successful. Am I jealous of them? Absolutely not. If anything, it motivates me to work twice as hard as I did before. I am a very competitive person and I love seeing people around me achieve amazing things. It gives me the desire to kick things into another gear.

4. Give Up

If everyone gave up after failing once or twice, the world that we see around us wouldn’t exist. Everything was said to be impossible until someone went ahead and did it. Do you think it’s easy to create anything worthwhile? Absolutely not!

5. Don’t Try Pleasing Everyone

I have come to terms with the idea that some people will f*cking love you and others will f*cking hate you. I don’t really care what side people are on because I’m going to be the best version of myself that I possibly can be. Don’t live for others, do what makes you feel good.

6. Feel Entitled

The biggest problem I see in our generation right now is that too many people feel they are entitled to shit. People think they deserve an A in this class or the highest paid job straight out of college, but have absolutely no logical reason for why they deserve it. Mentally strong people don’t feel entitled to anything. They understand that they have to work their ass off to get what they want.

7. Don’t Try Fitting In

Too many people are worried about being cool or being friends with the popular kids. While that stuff seemed like it mattered in high school or even college, it doesn’t mean shit in the real world. Those ‘popular’ kids eventually end up working for the guy who spent his time getting educated and working hard.

8. Letting Fear Take Control

You can be one of two things. You can be really comfortable or you can change your life for the better. However, comfort and change are two things that don’t go hand in hand with one another. Mentally strong people understand their fears, but they don’t let that control their lives.

9. Don’t Feel Sorry For Themselves

Shit comes and goes in life. However, mentally strong people are so successful because they don’t let the negatives run their lives. Instead, they refuse to feel sorry for themselves. They take on adversity and fight through the lows to eventually turn them into positives.

10. Don’t Settle

Settling to me is another form of giving up. You got halfway to your goal, got really tired and decided to take what you could. That’s the equivalent of just giving up. One thing I have learned so far in my life is to never settle for anything but the best. If you stick to that mindset, your potential will be limitless.

Conclusion

In this article, I shared 10 things mentally strong people never do. What are some things you don’t do that have made you very strong mentally?

Why You Should Hang Out With People Older Than You

From entering the business world at a young age, I constantly found myself surrounded by people who were older than me. In this article, I discuss why you should hang out with people older than you.

Before I get started with this post, I want to make one thing clear. I am not saying that all of your friends must be older than you or anything like that.

Instead, I am simply showing you how spending time older people created a lot of value in my life. While age doesn’t necessarily define someone’s characteristics, I have learned some valuable things when having people older than me around me.

In this article, I share why you should hang out with people older than you:

Conversations Are Very Different

Believe it or not, if you really sit down and have a conversation with people of different age groups, you’ll quickly see that the types of conversations vary dramatically. With older people, topics of marriage, building assets/wealth, buying houses, and planning the future kept coming up.

With people the same age as me or younger, we talked more about sports, gossip, social media happenings, and current life. Don’t get me wrong, I love engaging in both types of conversations, but the discussion with the older people was something very new to me.

You Learn A Lot

No matter what, people older than you have lived more life than you have. With that in mind, they tend to have a lot of wisdom and life experiences that you may not have had yet.

As I hung out with people older than me, I began learning a lot more about things to avoid or to prepare for when I did get to 25 or 30. Getting to hear firsthand experiences from things people have dealt with is extremely valuable and powerful.

They Can Open Lots Of Doors

While people younger than you can create lots of opportunities, I typically found that the older crowds were finding me more opportunities. This could be because people in my age group are still in college while those that were older were already out.

Nevertheless, you want to change up the groups of people you hang out with because you don’t know what new doors can be opened from them. If you hang out with the same crowd all the time, you limit yourself to the same number of opportunities.

They Can Provide Motivation

Often times, I hear about how my older friends are working really hard or really focused on a goal, which ends up motivating me. When I see someone that is really successful, I don’t have feelings of jealousy or anger.

Instead, I find it as a motivation and turn it into a small competition. To see someone achieving massive success that is older than me is a great boost of motivation. It allows me to set the bar high with large goals of my own.

It’s A New Experience

Above all, I love hanging out with older people because I get to experience new things. Each generation or age bracket is very different in their way of life. By hanging out with older people, I feel like I experience many more new things.

If you want to talk about new things and experience different things, try finding different age groups to hang out with. You’ll be really surprised how each of those experiences turn out.

Conclusion

Being that I entered the business world at a young age, everyone that was my friend usually ended up being a lot older than me. Nevertheless, this provided for great experiences and lots of lessons. In this article, I shared why you should hang out with people older than you.

5 Perspectives On Money The Wealthy Share

In this article, I share 5 perspectives on money the wealthy share. Being rich and successful takes a lot more than luck, this article discusses some of the mindsets you must have.

At some point, I think all kids have said, “I want to be rich and famous when I grow up.” We don’t really know about the baggages that come with being famous or how much money you really need to be rich.

Nevertheless, we are excited as ever to live out this dream. As we get older, we really understand how complex achieving either of the two things are. Most people are never able to become rich and famous.

Those that do become rich don’t get there by pure chance unless they win the lottery. Even those people don’t end up staying rich. From surrounding myself with super successful people, I quickly began learning about the mindsets successful people shared.

In specific, I got a chance to learn about the approach to money the wealthy people shared. In this article, I share 5 perspectives on money the wealthy share:

1. Diversify, Just In Case

Average people tend to put all their eggs into one basket. They see some cash and some success, they become extremely comfortable. You have to remember that comfort is the enemy of achievement.

Wealthy people enjoy the fact that they have seen some success, but they refuse to get comfortable. They understand it can all be gone just as quickly as it came to them. They are constantly focused on diversifying their income sources so that they won’t be screwed if things go wrong.

2. Treat Yourself, Just Not Every Day

I would hate to be extremely wealthy and not spend any of that money on myself. If you work really hard to attain a large amount of wealth, it’s only right that you treat yourself. However, there is a big different between wealthy people and middle class individuals.

Wealthy people treat themselves to luxuries every now and then. Others, treat themselves all the time when they come across some cash. You should probably spend no more than 10% on treating yourself. The rest of the money will have a much better use when invested properly.

3. Don’t Work For Money, Make Money Work For You

A few months ago, I was talking to someone who really wanted to buy a new car. He kept telling me about how he had to work more hours each week in order to afford that car. The problem was, he was focused on increasing the number of hours he worked instead of increasing the amount of money he made for the same number of hours he was already working.

Many people tend to think this way. However, wealthy people don’t believe in this model. They want to work the same number of hours while making a lot more money. How do you do that? Simple. Find ways to get your money to work for you without taking up additional time.

4. Don’t Take On Debt

Wealthy people have either learned some valuable lessons from getting into debt or they refuse to get into debt. You cannot be wealthy if you are accumulating a large amount of debt. I always get people asking me why I only pay with debit when I can qualify for a credit card with a fairly high limit.

The answer is simple. I refuse to give myself the temptation to buy something that I may not have money for on the spot. I do not want to put myself in debt. I have learned from super successful people how challenging it truly is to get out of debt. Stay out of debt and you will automatically see your wealth grow.

5. Understand Where Money Comes From & Goes

There are so many amazing financial tools out there in the market that can tell you exactly where you money is going each month. Not only that, but you also need to really understand where your money is coming from. Tools such as Wave Accounting or Mint can help you manage the metrics behind your finances.

Wealthy people can give you a complete analysis of what is happening with their money. Everyone should be able to do this. If you don’t know how you’re spending your money, you can’t ever really get rich.
