8 Types Of Content That Can Drive You A Lot More Traffic

In this article, I share 8 types of content that can drive you a lot more traffic. Find out what some of the best ways you can utilize content to drive more visitors to your website.

Most recently, I have become really interested in the world of content. Not only did I start a new company in the content marketing space, DailyMondo but I have also been focusing a lot of my time in this space.

Whether you start your own blog, publication or just decide to share stuff on the side, it’s all about maximizing your efforts. I learned quickly that it isn’t the amount of time you spend but rather how you spend your time that will make your content marketing efforts successful.

Here are 8 types of content that can drive you a lot more traffic:

1. Infographics

Infographics are really awesome. They take information or data and present it in a really visual way. Not only are they easy to view because of how little time you need to spend, but they tend to also get shared far more often.

Whether you decide to take popular infographics from the internet or decide to create your own, you can get a lot of traffic by sharing this type of content. Be sure that you use an info graphic when you want to communicate an interesting statistic, research, or point of data.

2. Pictures

When I tried marketing DailyMondo.com and trying to get it to go viral through Facebook, I realized my text posts were underperforming. Then, I had the brilliant idea of trying to share images.

DING DING DING! I had a winner. From my preliminary research, I found that images, memes and other types of photos relevant to your audience tend to perform a lot better. You get more shares and more views.

3. Opinion Posts

When I first started my blog, I didn’t think anyone gave a shit about what I had to say. Turns out, a lot of people care what others have to say. Whether they agree with you or not, it doesn’t really matter.

The thing that matters is whether or not you’re drawing attention towards your content and getting people to get involved. I learned from my blog that my opinionated posts tend to have the most comments and the most shares.

4. Videos

Videos are probably the holy grail of media content that you can share on the internet. After experimenting with a bunch of different media types on DailyMondo, we quickly realized that video was the best choice.

Why? Well, videos tend to keep the audience engaged for the longest period of time and require them to do the least amount of work. Whether you decide to make your own videos or share existing videos, it’s a great way to drive some extra eyeballs towards your content.

5. Lists

I don’t know what it is about lists, but they tend to convert really well. Some of the most shared posts in the whole internet have just been simple lists that had some really captivating content.

If you have a topic or genre that would be really good for creating a list with, give it a shot. Here’s the first ever list style post I did and it still gets traffic until this day. The post featured 50 great quotes about entrepreneurship here.

6. Interviews Or Podcasts

A lot of my great friends are interviewers or podcasters that have had huge successes. Take one good friend for example, John Lee Dumas generates 6 figures a month all from his site EntrepreneurOnFire where he shares interviews with entrepreneurs doing amazing things.

While it is crucial to note that John is one of the most hard-working individuals ever who redefined this space by doing 1 interview a day, this type of content has a lasting effect. The interviewed person tends to share their success with their audience while others looking for help indulge themselves in the content.

7. Current Events

With social media sites taking a strong focus on the ‘Trending’ section, you can drive a lot of traffic to your page by timing posts really well. For example, my friend released a post about Mayweather and why an education was important no matter how successful you were just weeks ago.

He released the post right after 50 Cent offered Mayweather a huge chunk of cash if he would read him a page from Harry Potter. Since the topic was hot, people clicked through to his post at a ridiculous rate. He generated over 50,000 hits that weekend!

8. The Authentic Stuff

At the end of the day, you can only fake so much of it. At some point, you need to come up with original content that is real and appealing to your audience.

This content can be the hardest to curate, but it’s probably going to give you the most long-term value. My blog is an example of authentic content I share from a lot of my personal experiences.

Conclusion

In this article, I shared 8 types of content that can drive you a lot more traffic. What are some things that have worked really well for you?

How To Be Taken Seriously As A Young Businessman

In this article, I share my tips on how to be taken seriously as a young businessman. It has its challenges being young in the business world, but if you navigate your way through it properly, you can easily succeed.

Being in business at a young age is a huge advantage, but it also requires some special skills to navigate yourself through the waters. I started my journey in the business world at the age of 17.

When I started, I faced a lot of challenges that had to do with my age. It was really tough getting people to take me seriously while also looking past my baby face. However, I eventually learned the tricks of the trade and mastered the skill.

In this article, I share my tips on how to be taken seriously as a young businessman:

1. Know Your Sh*t

Older business professionals have a good reason for looking past younger individuals because there is reason for doubt. I know many young people who have tried going in without knowing a thing about what they’re talking about.

Before you can be taken seriously, you need to make sure you actually talk the talk. Do your research on your clients, industries and anything else that will help you become successful. Master your pitches and be sure that you don’t BS anything.

2. Be Confident

If you let someone run you over because they are older, you’re not going to be very successful in the business world. While I was respectful towards my clients, I still made sure they knew that I was confident.

If people didn’t like my terms or my prices, I wasn’t going to change it for them. My business policies were firm and I wasn’t going to let anyone walk all over me. Be confident and don’t be scared to make the tough decisions.

3. Learn To Listen

Another reason why young people aren’t often taken seriously is because they have a hard time listening. They are too focused on getting their word in and don’t give a shit about what others have to say.

The biggest skill I learned early on was that I had to listen. By listening, I was able to learn about so much stuff that I probably would have missed out on otherwise. Shut up and hear everyone out, it’ll help you get really far.

4. Dress Professionally

Mark Zuckerburg can wear a hoodie and shorts because he’s worth billions of dollars. Unless you just created a billion dollar social network, treat your peers with respect. You’re not going to a party after school, you’re trying to close deals.

Respect your clients, peers and others by dressing appropriately. If you want to be taken serious, you need to have the proper look. It’s really basic stuff.

5. Get To The Point

When I began pitching clients early on, I realized I was really bad at it. I had a tough time getting to the point as I wanted to fluff everything up and it was a result of everything I had learned at school.

People in the business world don’t have time. The most important thing in the world is time and business people understand that. Don’t waste their time, get to the point. They’ll be happier for it and they’ll actually listen.

Conclusion

Being young and trying to succeed in the business world definitely has its challenges, but it’s also very doable. In this article, I shared my tips on how to be taken seriously as a young businessman.

When You Start Pursuing Your Dreams, These 7 Things Will Happen

When you start pursuing your dreams, these 7 things will happen. Check out some of the things you learn along the way during your journey.

If you’ve ever thought about making a living doing something that involves you pursuing your dreams, this article is definitely for you. Too many people end up doing things in their lives that they absolutely despise.

When you start pursuing your dreams, these 7 things will happen and it’s absolutely normal.

1. You’ll Be Pushed Out Of Your Comfort Zone

I have said this statement many times, change and comfort don’t always go hand-in-hand. More often than not, you have to choose between comfort and change to be really successful.

When you pursue your dreams, you’re going to have to do tons of things that are new and some of these things may make you uncomfortable. At the end of the day, it’s just a few of the barriers you have to deal with as you aim to make a huge change in your life.

2. You’ll Have Doubts From Time To Time

Making a huge change in your life is never easy. Ask any successful entrepreneur, athlete or musician and they’ll tell you the same thing – they had doubts and things got real tough during their journey.

Nevertheless, having doubts from time to time are absolutely normal. You only truly mess up when you let those doubts run you or dreams. You can’t give up and you can’t let the negatives stop you from tackling your dreams head on.

3. You’ll Find Your True Friends

When you do something unordinary, you tend to find out who your real friends are. Will your friends be your support system or will they antagonize you for your decisions?

It’s sometimes really hard figuring out who your real friends are, but you’d rather know than be left in the darkness about it. True friends are there for you regardless of what happens.

4. You Will Have To Make Tough Decisions

The toughest part about being an entrepreneur for me often times has been making the right decision. Each decision tends to have a huge impact on my businesses and I feel like I have to make the perfect decision.

If you’re best friend is employed in the company, but not producing….what will you do? Will you sacrifice your own feelings above the companies? That’s a recipe for failure. Tough decisions like that will come up and you have to be prepared to take the hard route.

5. You’ll Surely Test Your Patience

There is no one path or road to success. Pursuing your dreams is often difficult and filled with tons of obstacles. If you plan on being an ‘overnight’ success, you’re in for another thing. Chasing your dreams will truly test your patience.

For me, I’ve committed 100% to the entrepreneurial route. When I was younger, it was tough. I was all in on my business while I saw my friends transferring to top Universities and some were even graduating. I had to stay patient and remain focused to see things change.

6. You’ll Learn How Talented You Truly Are

Growing up, I felt like I was really stupid. School bored me and I was disinterested, which caused me to get really bad grades. As a result, I thought I was stupid and a complete failure.

Then, I ventured out on my own and began teaching myself the ropes of business and life. After finding some success along the way, I quickly learned that I was a lot more intelligent and talented than I had ever known.

7. You’ll Wish You Had Started Earlier

No matter how old you are, you always regret starting so late when you do find your true purpose in life. I started as an entrepreneur at 17, which many people are extremely jealous of. However, I’m always regretful I didn’t start when I was 12 or 13.

Pursuing your dreams can be exciting and truly thrilling. Cherish each day and continue pushing to the top.

Conclusion

In this article, I shared my 7 tips for things that tend to happen when you do pursue your dreams. What are some things you found on your journey?

How To Become A Millionaire By The Time You’re 30

In this article, I share my personal guide on how to become a millionaire by the time you’re 30. See the exact tips and strategies I recommend.

While money shouldn’t be the only thing you go after in life, it’s definitely a great reward for your successes. What you do with your money is clearly up to you, but money is very powerful.

It gives you freedom and the ability to change numerous things. One goal that many people have is to be filthy rich, but they wait too long to set that goal. I made a conscious decision to become financially free by the time I’m 25 years old.

I’m only 21 years old and have a while to go to fulfill that goal, but I’ve been fortunate enough to learn some big-time secrets of conquering wealth from some great minds.

In this article, I share my guide on how to become a millionaire by the time you’re 30:

Make The Decision Early

When I turned 19, I made up my mind that I was going to be financially free by the time I’m 25. You need to decide what exactly it is that you want. If you want 1 million dollars by the time you’re 30 years old, tell yourself just that.

After you’ve set the goal, you need to believe it yourself. Tell yourself all the ways you plan to achieve that goal, create dream boards with motivation for what you’re going to do with the money and surround yourself with those kinds of thoughts every single day. What you believe is truly what you achieve!

Be Relentless

Every single successful people I know share one common characteristic. They refused to give up and that is why they are successful today. Making $1 million dollars is extremely tough, if it wasn’t….everyone would be doing it.

If you want that goal, you need to be relentless with it. Put in the work you know it will take to get that far and don’t stop until you get to your goals. Hard work is the only true answer for massive success.

Make Money Your B*tch

Each day I see and talk to people who are slaves to the money. They work day and night doing a job they hate to impress the people they don’t like. If that’s your approach to money, you’re never going to get wealthy.

While most people take their extra money and put it in their savings, you need to do the opposite. Save a minimal amount and invest your cash into things that have the potential to make you income while you sleep. Having multiple income streams is just the beginning to earning millions of dollars.

Don’t Get Comfortable

If you get comfortable, you get screwed. Why do we have such a large middle class? People want a half-decent life and they are absolutely okay with it. Millionaires on the other hand aren’t satisfied until they get where they want to be.

If you want your situation to change, you’re not going to be comfortable. You have to choose between comfort and change in order to be successful. Making a million dollars is never easy and you have to be awfully careful of getting comfortable somewhere along the way.

Surround Yourself With Others On The Same Mission

The best decision I made when I became an entrepreneur was to surround myself with hundreds of other like-minded individuals. Even though we weren’t directly competing in the business world, the competition was still there.

Imagine surrounding yourself with individuals who are accomplishing new things on a daily basis. They not only keep you focused but give you that extra motivation to work a little harder each day. Your network is your net worth.

Conclusion

In this article, I shared my guide on how to become a millionaire by the time you’re 30. If you’re serious about it, take massive action with the steps discussed in this post!

5 Terrible Money Mistakes To Avoid In Your Youth

In this article, I share 5 terrible money mistakes to avoid in your youth. I use lessons from my own life and the valuable things I have learned from others to share my opinion in this post.

From the ages of 18 to 30, we tend to make a lot of mistakes with our money. The worst part of all is that we don’t realize that they are actually huge mistakes until many years later.

Thankfully, I’ve had the opportunity to surround myself with other people who have taught me valuable money lessons from their own experiences.

In this article, I share 5 terrible money mistakes to avoid in your youth:

1. Living The YOLO Mentality

Drake spread the phenomenon of YOLO, which means “you only live once.” More and more of our youth are embracing that motto in their lifestyle, which is a devastating move.

If you just got a paycheck, you have three options. Save it, invest it or spend it. More and more of our youth are choosing to ‘spend it’ because they are stuck thinking in the now. It’s okay to have fun and enjoy your youth, but weigh your decisions prudently.

2. Carrying Credit Cards

Credit is a death trap. While I personally have chose not to put a credit card under my own name, I know many young people that sign up for their own credit card the moment they turn 18.

Credit cards are great if you’re trying to build your credit, but you have to pay off every dollar you spend. If you’re swiping your credit card without thinking of the consequences, years from now….you’ll wish you hadn’t.

3. Failing To Plan

In life, you need to have a plan. If you don’t, then you’re just aimlessly following some path without really knowing what your next move is. As an entrepreneur, I am constantly planning out my next move whether I’m right or wrong.

To be financially wealthy, you cannot expect to just fall into money. You have to plan, prepare and execute until you achieve your goals. Plan as early as you can and run with your ideas.

4. Not Budgeting Your Life

As you get older, the number of responsibilities and bills you have go up. Things such as car payments, insurance payments, gas, electricity, etc. come creeping into your life.

If you aren’t ready for these responsibilities, you can really get blindsided by them. I recently moved out on my own and had to learn a lot about budgeting. Before you make any financial decision, you need to budget how much money you will be spending and whether or not you can comfortably afford it.

5. Being Too Passive

Your youth is the best time to be aggressive. You can take risks and tackle opportunities left and right because you don’t have the same responsibilities you will have when your older. However, young people tend to be the most passive of all.

If they see an opportunity, they decline it because they live with the mentality that they are young and another one will come soon enough. Your youth is a time to take advantage of all the opportunities that come your way. Be wise.

Conclusion

In this article, I shared 5 terrible money mistakes to avoid in your youth. Do you have any other advice? Please share it below in the comments.

5 Signs You Aren’t Ready To Handle The Entrepreneurial Life

Here are 5 signs you aren’t ready to handle the entrepreneurial life. In this article, I dive into specific things that will go against you when you decide to become an entrepreneur.

Many people as of late have caught the entrepreneurial bug. However, having the thoughts of being an entrepreneur and actually becoming one are completely two different things.

It may look pretty on the outside, but becoming an entrepreneur can be one of the most stressful and challenging experiences you can take on. This post isn’t an effort to scare you away from entrepreneurship, but rather to put some rarely talked about facts in the spotlight.

Here are 5 signs you aren’t ready to handle the entrepreneurial life:

1. You love the idea of success, but you hate hard work.

The only ‘easy’ way to get rich is by winning the lottery or by doing something illegal. If you think by just adding the title of ‘entrepreneur’ to your business card will make you instantly successful, you’re in for an awful surprise.

If you want to be successful, you have to work hard. If you aren’t a hard worker or can’t stay committed to your craft, entrepreneurship is the last career for you. Just because it looks easy doesn’t mean it really is.

2. You constantly need directions from other people.

There is no book in the world that can give you the perfect formula for being successful as an entrepreneur. Starting a successful business isn’t a math equation that you can find the answer to from others.

You need to put yourself out there and hope for the best. If you are constantly looking for direction or guidance from others, entrepreneurship isn’t for you. The best entrepreneurs are out-of-the-box thinkers who fend for themselves and take massive action on their own ideas.

3. You let your emotions get in the way of things.

Being an entrepreneur is an endless roller coaster ride that is filled with surprises. One day you will be on top of the world while your next day will be a low. That is just what the entrepreneurial life is all about.

When you start a business, your business comes before everything else. You have to be unselfish and make decisions that will help your business even if it won’t help you.

4. You have a hard time completing things.

Every successful person in the world has failed numerous times before mastering their craft. The reason why so many people do not achieve their goals is because they quit too soon.

In order to be successful, you need to be persistent and believe in your vision/ideas. If you can’t do this, you will not make it as an entrepreneur.

5. You love being comfortable and having a sense of security.

Starting a business is rough because you have no guarantee of getting paid. You can make billions of dollars or you can make nothing. It’s in your hands to ensure your own success.

If you enjoy being comfortable or having a sense of security, entrepreneurship is not the answer. If you aren’t willing to take risks and believe in your own dreams, it’s almost impossible to create a successful business.

Conclusion

In this article, I discussed 5 signs you aren’t ready to handle the entrepreneurial life.

My Exact Plan For How I Hire Developers

Hiring a developer especially for the first time can be very tricky and confusing. In this article, I share my exact plan for how I hire developers.

If you are in the tech space, chances are that you’ll probably be hiring a developer at some point. If you’ve ever tried doing this before, hiring a developer isn’t an easy task.

In my years of being an entrepreneur, I have worked with hundreds of different developers and development agencies. Through that process, I’ve learned a lot.

In this article, I share my exact plan for how I hire developers:

Crafting Your Vision

Before you can decide who the right type of developer is for your project, you need to understand your own long-term vision. What are you trying to create? How sustainable will it be? How far do you want to go with it? How much development will be required?

You need to narrow what type of compensation (equity, cash, barter, etc.) you will provide these developers and how often they will need to continue working on your project. Once you have a strong vision for these things, you’re ready to begin the process of picking a developer.

Two Types Of Developers

With developers, you really have two options. You can bring on a development agency or freelancer that is great for any project that doesn’t require constant development work over a long period of time.

If your project just needs to be built, maintained and can run on its own, hiring a development agency or a freelancer overseas is probably a great option. If your startup heavily relies on tech, you’re probably going to want to find someone local that can really manage the back-end and front-end aspects of your project.

Hiring For Option One

In development, you will quickly learn that the same project will get priced out a 100 different ways by each development firm. You don’t want to sacrifice quality, but at the same time you don’t want to overpay for the project.

Go out and share the scope of your project so you can get a variety of quotes. Once you get these quotes, figure out the average of all these prices. That’s typically what you want to pay. Depending on how much money you have to spend, you can hire people through platforms such as Elance.com, ODesk.com, Guru.com.

If you do have a considerable amount of cash to spend and want fluid communication with your development team, I highly recommend asking friends for references or Googling the top development firms in your area. Get quotes, figure out the average and move forward with who you think will get the job done the best.

Hiring For Option Two

If this is a project that is heavily reliant on development, you can’t find a one-time solution. Instead, you must find a development agency or developer that will be willing to work with you for a long period of time. This usually means that equity is a key factor now.

You want to find a developer or team that has the technical know-how to not only start your project, but to carry out it until it’s fully sustainable. At this point, quality becomes a huge issue. I tend to typically find the most specialized developer possible if I am giving them equity or equity and cash in exchange for their services.

Conclusion

Hiring a developer especially for the first time can be something very tricky and confusing. However, this guide hopefully helped you with some of the basics of hiring your own developers.

11 Tips For Starting A Business While Working Full-Time

After starting a successful startup of his own, guest blogger Nathan Chan decided to share 11 tips for starting a business of your own while working full-time.

This is a guest post by Nathan Chan.

Many entrepreneurs, working hard to launch a business, have to contend with another force—their day job. It’s hard to start a business while working full-time, but it can be done. How do I know?

I did it. I started Foundr Magazine, a publication filled with actionable advice for young entrepreneurs, while working full-time in IT. In this post, I’ll let you in on 11 things that helped me launch my business and ditch the 9-to-5.

1. Want It Bad Enough

You can’t just talk about it—you must really want it. People make a lot of excuses for why they haven’t gotten serious about their business idea yet, but your excuses get you nowhere.

A cool trick that helped me was to view my first business as a “passion project”—it took the serious weight away. And it was a passion project, because I wanted it so badly!

2. Commit to Showing Up Every Day

You absolutely must forge a habit of working on your business every day—that’s every single day, without fail.

That’s not as hard as it sounds. People (should) brush their teeth every morning and night. Developing your business and brushing your teeth should be the same thing: an unquestioned routine.

Here’s my tip: start off each day by working 30 minutes on your project.

3. Know That Research Isn’t Time Spent

The web has so many amazing resources—guides, tutorials, stories, statistics—but don’t use “research” as an excuse to procrastinate. Since you’re working full-time, you need to make full use of the time you do have.

You need to accept that research, while great, is not time spent on your project. Talking to potential customers, getting quotes, building the product or service, getting the website online—these activities count as time spent.

Focus on things that move the needle forward and allow you to ship.

4. Test Your Product

Here’s actionable advice: go read The Lean Startup by Eric Ries. It features compelling stories and terrific tips.

The book has birthed a serious movement embraced by companies like Buffer, Dropbox, and IMVU. The key? Test early and often—let your customers tell you what they want.

5. Hold Yourself Accountable—Financially

Sinking cash into a course or some other investment is a powerful way to hold yourself accountable, since nobody wants to lose money. Buying the publishing software for Foundr motivated me to work, work, work.

If you want to go the course route, there are a few I recommend: “Earn Your First $1,000 On The Side” by Ramit Sethi, “How to make a $1,000 a month business” by AppSumo, and Tim Marc’s Freedom Business Blog.

6. Set a Deadline and Ship

You need an end goal, an end picture, in mind. That helps motivate you.

With Foundr, I know that in the middle of every month, we must ship a new issue—rain, hail, or shine. With that hard deadline, I never miss it. A cool resource to help you with this is Go Fucking Do It.

7. Follow the Money

Always focus on bringing in revenue—that’s what will allow you to leave your day job, and leaving your day job will allow you to grow your business even more.

Making your first dollar, closing that first sale—those things can electrify you because they’re powerful. They’re absolutely game-changing.

8. Think About Outsourcing

If you look for freelancers in countries like India, the Philippines, and China, then you can find amazingly talented staff for an affordable price.

Here’s the beauty of this: you can also leverage time zones. I assign tasks to my designer in India, and when I’m sleeping, he’s moving forward on a magazine issue.

9. Admit You Might Fail

90% of startups fail. Your first business won’t always succeed.

This is especially important for people who are working full-time while trying to launch a business of their own. With limited time, you might be tempted to shrink away from entrepreneurship because you’re afraid of failure. Admit that failure is possible, however you’re liberated from that fear.

10. Always Provide Value

If you try to make money fast, you’re wasting your time.

One of my mentors taught me something that I remember to this day: the amount of money you earn is proportionate to how well you serve your community. So Serve your community DAMN WELL!

11. Prepare to Leave Your Job

Don’t rely on a theoretical “someday” for when you plan to leave your job and work on your business full time—make that concrete.

How? Get a number in mind for how much you need to earn to get by each month. Then save at least six months worth of savings as a buffer in case things get tough. Once you have your savings and your business is bringing in enough money, take that leap of faith!

Conclusion

That’s it: eleven tips, drawing from my experience, on how to start a business while working full-time at your day job. It’ll require adept time management, but you can do it. And once you do it, you’ll thank yourself for years to come.

10 Things Mentally Strong People Never Do

In this article, I discuss 10 things mentally strong people never do. Drawing from my own experiences through my entrepreneurial career, I gives you a first-hand perspective on what it takes to be mentally strong.

Ever since embarking on my entrepreneurial journey, I have realized that you have to master one thing to be successful. It isn’t your industry, people, technology, or anything else. The most important thing to being successful is mastering your own mind.

Everything that goes on around us and our reaction to it is a result of our mental thoughts. In life, we go through really good days and really shitty ones. Life wouldn’t be as great as it is unless we were tested at our weakest moments.

However, it is our reaction to these tough moments that define who we are as people. It defines how successful we can be and what we can achieve.

In this article, I’m going to share 10 things mentally strong people never do:

1. Regret The Past

Dwelling on the past will get you absolutely no where. You cannot hope to live an amazing life today if you’re too focused on the past. Mentally strong people do not live a life filled with regrets. Instead, they live a life filled with memories and embrace the past as a learning lessons.

2. Be Close Minded

Nobody in the world knows everything. The person who says they know everything is a complete fool themselves. Never be fearful of opportunity or seeing what the world has to offer. Mentally strong people will never be close minded because they understand the damage it will do.

3. Let Jealousy Ruin Them

I love watching people around me thrive and become successful. Am I jealous of them? Absolutely not. If anything, it motivates me to work twice as hard as I did before. I am a very competitive person and I love seeing people around me achieve amazing things. It gives me the desire to kick things into another gear.

4. Give Up

If everyone gave up after failing once or twice, the world that we see around us wouldn’t exist. Everything was said to be impossible until someone went ahead and did it. Do you think it’s easy to create anything worthwhile? Absolutely not!

5. Don’t Try Pleasing Everyone

I have come to terms with the idea that some people will f*cking love you and others will f*cking hate you. I don’t really care what side people are on because I’m going to be the best version of myself that I possibly can be. Don’t live for others, do what makes you feel good.

6. Feel Entitled

The biggest problem I see in our generation right now is that too many people feel they are entitled to shit. People think they deserve an A in this class or the highest paid job straight out of college, but have absolutely no logical reason for why they deserve it. Mentally strong people don’t feel entitled to anything. They understand that they have to work their ass off to get what they want.

7. Don’t Try Fitting In

Too many people are worried about being cool or being friends with the popular kids. While that stuff seemed like it mattered in high school or even college, it doesn’t mean shit in the real world. Those ‘popular’ kids eventually end up working for the guy who spent his time getting educated and working hard.

8. Letting Fear Take Control

You can be one of two things. You can be really comfortable or you can change your life for the better. However, comfort and change are two things that don’t go hand in hand with one another. Mentally strong people understand their fears, but they don’t let that control their lives.

9. Don’t Feel Sorry For Themselves

Shit comes and goes in life. However, mentally strong people are so successful because they don’t let the negatives run their lives. Instead, they refuse to feel sorry for themselves. They take on adversity and fight through the lows to eventually turn them into positives.

10. Don’t Settle

Settling to me is another form of giving up. You got halfway to your goal, got really tired and decided to take what you could. That’s the equivalent of just giving up. One thing I have learned so far in my life is to never settle for anything but the best. If you stick to that mindset, your potential will be limitless.
