1992 – 2008 (Living Young & Free)
Born in Southern California, I lived with my family in Orange County. While attending school and being a normal kid for the most part, my first sparks of entrepreneurship took place during this time. At the age of 9, I was fascinated with the online world and decided to create my first website. After purchasing a domain and using FrontPage, I was able to launch what you could call my first website or company, which was known as PowerDunk.
After I turned 11, I lost all interest in my young venture and started turning into a regular pre-teen. My sparks of entrepreneurship would take a momentary pause during this time.
2009-2011 (The Job That Started It All)
During these years I was a high school student who didn’t think of much besides having fun with my friends. However, my parents had other plans for me. To have fun, I needed money and my parents decided to teach me the value of the dollar by making me get a job. After letting off a bunch of groans, I reluctantly took a job at my fathers company where I learned a lot.
Working as a high school student, I was trained to do a lot of tasks an average high school student probably wouldn’t be doing. I was handling the finances, billing, invoicing, and collection of payments for the whole company while also managing projects and providing clients with technical support. This job, which I held for two years taught me a lot about accounting, client relations, and managing projects. Best of all, it showed me how much I hated working under someone else.
I finally decided to take “earning money” into my own hands and ventured out in the cold world looking for a way to make money while being my own boss. I didn’t stray too far away from the same industry I was previously working in and decided to form my own web design & web development company, JB Media Force.
2011-Present (The Grind)
From being a lazy teenager looking to have fun with his friends, I quickly became a motivated and dedicated entrepreneur. I started with my company JB Media Force and immediately began picking up small clients. I established an offshore team to handle the projects while I single-handedly took care of sales here in the United States. After building up the companies portfolio, I was able to take on bigger projects with bigger companies.
While this company was growing rapidly, it still did not seem to satisfy my hunger for something bigger. I decided to sell my first business and move on to some other ventures I was planning. I quickly began working on another project, which was known as StatFuse. This project was unique because it required a lot of work and featured an extremely innovative idea to help high school students around the nation. After months of hard work with my partner, we were able to successfully launch this company in February 2012.
I am proud to announce that as of 2017, we ended up selling our first tech startup StatFuse, which was acquired by LendEDU. Currently, I am working on launching a couple other online businesses and I’m partnered up with numerous entrepreneurs as we work on creating multimillion dollar companies.
In addition to this, I have made it a personal goal to help others find their purpose in life and achieve massive success. I have had the opportunity to share my messages on some of the biggest platforms in the world such as TEDx and now I’m looking to bring my message to everyone.
