8 Steps For Launching A New Product That Generates A Ton of Demand

In this post, I share with you 8 steps for launching a new product that generates a ton of demand. For your product launch strategy to be truly successful, you also need to have a plan for after your launch. You can’t just launch a product and expect it to take off. You need to have a strategy for maintaining the momentum from your launch.

Launching a new product is one of the most exciting and frightening times for a business. It’s exciting because you are sharing your hard work with the world, but it can be frightening because you don’t know how it will be received. This process can be far more seamless if you come up with a bullet-proof launch strategy.

Developing a solid product launch strategy could ensure that your product successfully brings in great revenue for your business. With such a slim chance of success, a well-organized product launch strategy could make the difference between success and failure in the market.

Here are 8 steps for launching a new product that generates a ton of demand:

1. Research Your Target Consumers

Before you begin planning your product launch, you need to understand your audience. Conduct thorough market research to gain valuable insights into who your target customers are and what they want. Sit down with them, survey them and talk to them to get better insight from them. This research will form the basis of all other steps in your product launch plan, including your marketing strategy.

2. Focus On The Customer

A new product launch usually culminates a heavy amount of back-end work, including looking over customer complaints and suggestions and tweaking and testing until everything looks perfect. To generate consumer excitement, focus on the solutions you are providing to your audience. If you keep your customers in mind first at all times, you’ll be sure that your product launches can be successful.

3. Evaluate The Market

Any and every market should have some sort of research and data that you can find online. Take a close look at the results of the market research to make sure that there is a market for the product. Conducting market research can be time-consuming but it can also lead to vital information that will help direct the launch of your product.

4. Research The Competition

During your market research, be sure that you are evaluating not only the potential market for your product but thoroughly investigating the competition. As you study the competition, look for some specific details that will help you shape your own product launch. Competitors are great because you can see from their history what has worked and what has not worked in the past.

5. Develop Your Product Messaging

Your product messaging and positioning will play huge roles in how you present your new product to your target customers. Now that you have a thorough understanding of your audience, you need to craft a message that will highlight the most valuable features of your product. Ideally, your product messaging should include a catchy tagline and a value proposition. It should highlight the product’s best features and the problems they solve.

6. Take Pre-Orders

By providing your loyal customers early access to your product, you will help increase demand. Email or call your customers a few weeks before launch to talk with them about the product. Explain the problems your product will solve and why it will be the perfect fit for them or their business. Taking pre-orders can positively affect your company’s bottom line in two ways. First, it can secure purchases in advance and guarantee sales. Second, by telling your longtime customers about your new product (and getting them excited about it), they may become product/brand evangelists for you and spread the word to additional potential customers.

7. Be Social

Social media has forever changed the way that customers relate to each other and to the global community. Harness the power of the social media by using it to generate conversations about the product launch. Provide compelling content about your product and then start conversations about it. As the social circle widens and expands, more people will begin to talk about the product which then in turn may increase sales.

8. Use People With A Vested Interest

Anyone who may have a vested interest in the product should get access to your products first. Many public companies offer their ‘new’ products to their shareholders because they know these avid lovers of their products will offer tons of value to them. They can offer valuable feedback, promote the product and aid marketing efforts for the company!

Conclusion

For your product launch strategy to be truly successful, you also need to have a plan for after your launch. You can’t just launch a product and expect it to take off. You need to have a strategy for maintaining the momentum from your launch. In this post, I shared with you 8 steps for launching a new product that generates a ton of demand.

6 Ways To Live The Most Exceptional Life You Can

How exceptional your life may or may not be is fully dependent on you. When we see only the difficulties of life, it’s difficult to move forward. However, if we perceive life as a challenge that we need to overcome to enjoy, our decisions become clearer. In this post, I share with you the 6 ways to live the most exceptional life you can.

Everyone wants to live an exceptional life. The problem arises when it comes time to define what that means to you. If you embrace someone else’s definition of what an exceptional life is, you will end up disappointed sooner or later. Only you have what it takes to determine what you want.

It can be tough to get clear on what you want, but you always have ideas of things that you believe will fulfill you. Everyone wants to be exceptional, but very few people are able to achieve that goal.

Here are 6 ways to live the most exceptional life you can.

1. Decide For Yourself

Sometimes you’ll disappoint others and that is okay. It’s impossible to please everyone and you have to be okay with that.  Don’t let others decide what’s important in your world. Give yourself a chance to look at the big picture and decide without allowing the judgement of other people. Then you can consciously choose what you want to do!

2. Face Your Fears

Everyone has things that they are afraid of. The truth of the matter is that when you face your fears, they melt away. What happens is that you realize that your fears are nowhere near as scary as you make them out to be. So face your fears and go after what you truly want, because that is what you deserve.

3. Trust Your Heart

In the beginning, it can be difficult to trust your heart because your mind tends to get in the way. However, once you start following your heart and realize that it guides you in the right direction, your mind will have enough proof to trust that your heart knows what it’s doing. When you start trusting your heart, your life becomes much more interesting and exceptional.

4. Free Yourself

The more rules you have, how people must be, how life must be, what you must have, who you must be, what you must achieve, what must happen before you can be happy, etc., the greater chance you’re going to be terribly unhappy. When you release your need to control every aspect of your life you’ll be free to enjoy it. You’re worthy of your freedom and having the power of your life in your own hands.

5. Focus On What You Can Control & Let Go of What You Can’t

Many individuals spend a great deal of time focusing, obsessing and worrying about things over which they have no control. The things that not only drains their energy but creates enormous negative stress. Those who live exceptional lives are able to identify what they can control and they focus their mental energies on exercising that control. The result is a sense of progress, a feeling of being in control and the satisfaction of accomplishment that motivates them in their future endeavors.

6. Surround Yourself with Awesome

When you surround yourself with exceptional people, your life will become exceptional. If you have friends that drain you of energy, it’s time to let them go. It’s time to set boundaries for what you are willing to allow into your life if you want to live a truly awesome and passionate life. It can be done, but the process always begins with you.

Conclusion

How exceptional your life may or may not be is fully dependent on you. When we see only the difficulties of life, it’s difficult to move forward. However, if we perceive life as a challenge that we need to overcome to enjoy, our decisions become clearer. In this post, I shared with you the 6 ways to live the most exceptional life you can.

10 Work Life Balance Tips For Being Productive & Happy

Finding a simple work-life balance takes time and effort, but it can dramatically impact your happiness and overall success. In this post, I share with you the 10 work life balance tips for being productive & happy.

Anyone with a job and a beating heart know the stress of balancing a job and some of the demands that can be found outside of an office. As an entrepreneur, your work life is even more hectic making it far more difficult to find the proper balance.

Striking a healthy work-life balance is a difficult thing to manage even in the best of times. Numerous studies have shown the most productive employees and bosses are well-rounded professionals with well-balanced lives. Likewise, the most successful companies are those that foster employee health and well-being while enhancing organizational performance and productivity.

Here are 10 work life balance tips for being productive & happy:

1. Turn Off Push Notifications

If you feel shackled to your computer or smartphone and are incessantly checking your email, your brain never truly has time to rest and recover. Plus, you’re probably at dinner with your significant other constantly checking your emails instead of giving them your undivided attention. It’s more than a little rude. During non-working hours, turn off notifications from:

– Email

– Social media accounts

– Apps

Taking this small step allows you be more in control of your time and a better participant in your relationships.

2. Organize Your Week The Right Way

Start by figuring out how you’re tackling your week as a whole. There very well might be a “right” way to take on the week so that you can have the proper work-life balance. Make the most out of your Monday because it will set the pace for the rest of the week for you. The harder you work to start the week off, the better chance you’ll have to get free time later on during the week.

3. Track Your Time

Analyzing your present situation is the beginning step in achieving a balanced life. Keep a time log of everything you do for one week, including work-related and personal activities. This data will serve as way to help you understand how you are using and where you are losing your time.

4. Be Mindful In Your Decision Making

It’s important to make choices that elevate your best self, both in the office and at home. Next time you’re about to make a quick decision at work, slow it down and make sure you’re making one that will set you up for more peace and happiness. Every decision usually has a consequence or an outcome and spending more time thinking about the end result may guide you better initially.

5. Set Specific Goals

Take your list of priorities and turn them into concrete and measurable goals. Block time into your schedule for activities just like you would for an important meeting or a doctor’s appointment. Not only that, but don’t just set goals for the work side of things. You need to also be mindful of personal goals and family goals that you set as well.

6. Take Your Hard-Earned Vacation Time

The average American only takes 10 of his allotted 14 vacation days and often times in competitive work environments, many workers take even less. Remember that vacation time is part of your compensation. Studies have shown that workers who do use their vacation time come back as more productive and happier employees.

7. Don’t Be Afraid To Delegate

There’s nothing wrong with sharing responsibility, especially if it makes you more effective in your job or as a boss. When you’re really struggling, identify which tasks are “you” tasks only and which ones can be handled effectively by someone else.

8. Exercise Regularly

Regular exercise is not only good for you physically, but researchers have found that it also has ties to helping the human brain cope with stress, depression and anxiety. Research also showed that exercise causes a release of norepinephrine, which is a neuromodulator that helps the brain handle stress.

9. Leave Work At Work

Develop a mental on and off switch between work and home. It helps to establish a transitional activity between the two realms. This might consist of listening to music or recorded books during your evening commute, exercising at the fitness center, running errands, or keeping personal appointments. Scheduling such activities immediately following your normal work hours ensures that you actually leave the office when you should be.

10. Hire Help

Remember, having it all doesn’t mean you actually have to do it all. If you can afford to, hiring help for chores such as laundry or lawn maintenance can free up more of your non-work time for more enjoyable activities. You can also hire a maid to come and clean your house so it’s very important for you to know that it’s okay to hire outside help.

Conclusion

Finding a simple work-life balance takes time and effort, but it can dramatically impact your happiness and overall success. In this post, I shared with you the 10 work life balance tips for being productive & happy.

8 Signs Your Talent Is Going To Waste

Life is a choice, whether you still want to stay in your recent company or move on to a better one. One thing emphasized is that your future cannot be achieved without action right now. Nothing will change unless we do something to change it ourselves. In this post, I share with you 8 signs your talent is going to waste.

So you sought out a job, went through the interview process and got hired, but this is just the beginning. With any job or position, you want to make sure that you are growing individually just as much as you are in your professional field. When growth begins to decline or stop, it’s a dangerous thing.

The average working hours of a full-time employee is around 8 to 9 hours per day. This fact indicates that one third or more of an employee’s life is spent in the workplace. With that in mind, you want to work a job that you actually enjoy doing. Not only that, but you want to feel fulfilled with whatever position you take on.

Beware of crucial signs that may be stopping you to reach your full potential. If you notice a sign that is hindering your growth in your current state, you might want to consider seeking out a bigger role for yourself.

Here are 8 signs your talent is going to waste:

1. Your Good Ideas Are Treated Like Bad Ideas

Not every idea you throw out is going to be a winner, that’s just the way it works. However, if you manufacture an idea and genuinely believe in it, it’s right for you to expect the proper platform for your voice to be heard. However, way too many companies don’t give their employees enough of an opportunity to speak or they automatically toss their ideas out. If this is happening to you, that’s a sign that your talent may be going to waste.

2. You Feel Unappreciated, Overworked And Underpaid

Frankly, lots of employees feel overworked and underpaid. It’s the unappreciated one that stings the most because it indicates that you’re being taken for granted. Being taken for granted is followed by drudgery, which is followed by a bad attitude. It’s probably time for a change if you’re experiencing all three things.

3. Your Sphere of Influence Isn’t Expanding

In the right job, people will notice what you do and thank you for it. People will ask you to take on more and try new things once they see what you can handle. You will develop a fan club and they’ll help expand your influence beyond your department and your organization. In the wrong job, people will guard their work and their contacts because they fear that sharing them may cause them to give away their power. They’ll work to keep your influence from expanding.

4. Your Marketability Isn’t Improving

It’s bad when your job destroys your mojo, but it only adds insult to injury when the job trashes your marketability as well. That’s what happens when you work for an employer that may not be viewed as smart or forward-looking. It happens when you don’t learn new things that you can bring to your next organization.

5. You’re Burning Out

Burnout doesn’t necessarily come from fatigue. It can come about after long periods of demotivation and feeling uninspired. Quit this job as soon as possible and try to find a role that fits you as a person, not a task completer.

6. You Are Not Who You Are

Everybody said you are really skilled at your talent, except the employer in your office. You are actually able to work a higher position but the employer still annoyingly places you as a low-level employee. It is fine if the company wants to test your patience and effort in your early periods of working, however keeping you in a position you’re overqualified for isn’t ever a good sign.

7. Your Company Values Policy Over Passion

You’re a rule-follower and you’re starting to feel stifled. It’s possible that you’re very comfortable where you are, but if you are being forced to do things in a way that you don’t enjoy, it isn’t going to be the best idea for your career. You want to follow your passions rather than focusing on policy.

8. You’re Stuck

If you’ve been stuck at the same position for far too long, it’s a sign that this position may not be ideal for you. Many companies will make false promises to their employees to keep them at the position far too long. If you’ve been promised raises, promotions and other benefits that you haven’t ever received, chances are you won’t ever receive it. The worst feeling is being stuck somewhere you know you shouldn’t be.

Conclusion

Life is a choice, whether you still want to stay in your recent company or move on to a better one. One thing emphasized is that your future cannot be achieved without action right now. Nothing will change unless we do something to change it ourselves. In this post, I shared with you 8 signs your talent is going to waste.

What does never giving up really mean? It means believing in yourself and never staying down regardless of how tough things get. In this post, I share with you the 6 ways your life will change when you adopt a never give up attitude.

At some point in our lives, we may feel like giving up. It all depends on the circumstances that sometimes get us to what we call a “breaking point.” Sometimes, we give up even before things start to happen or before making that last breakthrough to success. However, it’s very hard to be successful if we give up.

In order to excel in life, it is very necessary to have an attitude which is full of determination as well as hard work. Whether it’s in your career or personal life, one has to face a lot of challenges and competition while keeping an attitude of never giving up. It not only fills a person with an abundance of positive thoughts, but also carves the path towards a better future.

Here are 6 ways your life will change when you adopt a never give up attitude:

1. Makes You Stronger

When you develop a never give up attitude, you will find out that you are stronger than you ever knew. You will be struggling to reach success, but you will never be defeated by failures. You will come across many failures in life, but they will only teach you how to get up and continue. Not quitting anything will help you to reach your goals and achieve the success that you have always wanted to achieve.

2. You Become More Resilient From Failures

When you are trying to manifest an idea, there will be setbacks, failures, and disappointments. Setbacks, failures and disappointments are actually good for you. They are one of the best forms of education you can get as they teach you to adapt. When you fail and go through the process of bouncing back up, you become extremely resilient over time.

3. You Will Become An Inspiration To Others

Not quitting while trying to reach your goals can make you an inspiration to other people. They can look at you and wonder how you were able to surpass the struggles that you encountered. A never giving up attitude is not only about pursuing your dreams but also about inspiring others to push forward with their dreams.

4. You Believe More In Yourself

There is nothing worst than giving up on yourself. Living and pursuing dreams by not quitting gives you faith in yourself. You will believe more in your capacity to reach your goals. You will know deep inside of you that you have the ability to become successful even if failures are trying to pull you down.

5. You Become Committed To What You Have Started

A dream isn’t worth anything until you try to put it into practice. When you dedicate yourself to your dream, beautiful things happen. You get to cultivate a vision or a seed  to reality, which is one of the most amazing things to see. With a ‘never give up’ attitude, you are ready to give birth to the idea and fully commit to nurturing that dream the same way you would nurture a child.

6. Never Giving Up Becomes A Life Motto

A never give up attitude helps you to become resilient to failure and committed to your goals. There will be no other option than to continue in anything else you do in life. The idea of quitting is alienated and the determination to finish what was started becomes stronger. This mindset will carry over into your relationships, family life and future career opportunities.

How To Fight Distractions Working From Home

A distraction at the wrong time can really derail your productivity for the day. Especially when we work from home, we can often take advantage of this luxury and thus our productivity declines heavily. In this post, I share with you the ways on how to fight distractions working from home.

Working from home can be very difficult due to the lack of structure, the need for self-accountability and the constant distractions that exist. While not needing to work may seem nice, you also have to make sure you remain productive when you do work from home.

Working from home is an increasingly popular choice for tech professionals and business owners. With an increasing amount of cloud technologies, collaboration platforms and advanced devices, more people are able to work from wherever they want. Additionally, some office cultures are shifting to be more accommodating of remote workers.

While some workplaces are allowing for increasing remote work, actually being productive working from home can be challenging for some professionals. Distractions like household chores, kids and easy access to a TV can prevent at-home workers from accomplishing as much as they want or need to.

Here are ways on how to fight distractions working from home:

1. Make an Agenda & Meet it

One of the hardest parts of working from home is your ability to get everything on your agenda done. Pushing items back due to your lack of interest in accomplishing them can be very dangerous because you don’t have someone telling you what to do. Part of a successful routine working from home is to ensure that you respect an area of your house as an actual working space.

A great strategy is to write all pre-planned items in one color on your calendar and then all new upcoming tasks during the day items in another. This color coordination allows you to see which tasks you start with for the day and which ones must be done. Using an old school paper calendar can also be helpful so that your eyes can look away from the computer for a few minutes per day.

2. Get Dressed

Maintain a schedule similar to what you would follow if you worked in an office, including getting out of bed and putting on clothes other than pajamas. Follow this by having set hours, including a designated lunch break. By getting dressed, it puts you in a working mindset which may in turn help you fight distractions.

3. Block or Hide Distracting Web Sites And Apps

Parental controls aren’t just for naughty kids, they’re also pretty handy for distracted adults too. Having trouble staying off Facebook while you’re working? Remove the bookmark from your browser or even uninstall it from your phone. You can even create a separate browser profile for work or use an browser extension to block the sites that distract you.

4. Give Yourself Permission To Relax From Time-To-Time

It’s okay to allow yourself to get distracted once in a while. As long it’s not a regular occurrence, you don’t have to worry too much about it. However, if your relaxation time overtakes your work time, then you need to reconsider your priorities. It is healthy to have a few moments where you do relax at home.

5. Create A Set Office

Professionals will tell you to not work from your couch or your bedroom. Instead, designate a home office, preferably something with a door to separate yourself from outside distractions. Only use the home office space when you’re working to help give yourself a feeling of being at the office. Additionally, set up the office with similar equipment that you would have at an actual office. For example, if you use two monitors at work, have two monitors in your home office.

6. Set Specific “Business” Hours

This is particularly important if you have young children. It can be very difficult for children to understand that they can’t disturb you while you work. If you have an office, close your door and place a do not disturb sign on it. This is particularly important if you are making client calls because it prevents family members from inadvertently barging in on you during a critical call.

7. Focus On 2-3 Important Tasks

If you have 20 tasks that need to be done every day, how effective do you think your focus ability will be? Terrible, right? You can’t expect to do those things with sophistication if you’re too scatterbrained to focus. You need to break it down to the essentials.

Focus on only doing 2-3 important tasks a day (even one is okay), but no more than that. It’s all you need to take steps towards accomplishing your goals. Slower is much better than giving up early because you took on too much.

8. Control Your Internal Distractions

Internal distractions are some of the problems that you can’t really run away from. You need to find ways to prepare your mind for work and find simple ways to keep it from straying to non-essential thoughts as well. When you find your mind wandering, find a way to stay focused on what is important.

Conclusion

A distraction at the wrong time can really derail your productivity for the day. Especially when we work from home, we can often take advantage of this luxury and thus our productivity declines heavily. In this post, I shared with you the ways on how to fight distractions working from home.

8 Ways To Get Motivated & Work Hard Even When You’re Feeling Lazy

The enemy of laziness is action and activity. One small step at a time adds up to real transformation. Staying motivated even when you feel lazy will help you reach success despite the trials in between. In this post, I share with you 8 ways to get motivated & work hard even when you’re feeling lazy.

If you feel like you’re in a bit of slump right now, you’re not alone. These unmotivated, uninspired times can occur to the best of us. It happens to us when we lose our focus and rush through our day-to-day life without a grounding intention. This can happen to anyone and usually it takes us by surprise.

It’s never easy to motivate yourself, especially after a bad day or when you’re extremely stressed. However, there are ways on how to stay motivated even if you feel exhausted and lazy. Here are 8 ways to get motivated & work hard even when you’re feeling lazy:

1. Figure Out What Your Task Means For The Big Picture

When you’re feeling lazy and getting distracted easily, you’re choosing to forget what your tasks mean for the big picture. Chances in life are limited and that is why they are very important. To motivate yourself to get off the couch and do something important, pinpoint what wrapping that task up will mean for the big picture.

Focusing on a dull task doesn’t make it any more attractive. Zooming out and asking yourself why you are bothering in the first place will just make it more appealing. Get yourself excited about how it’ll help you move forward with your goals if you accomplish it!

2. Commit Publicly

Accountability works. None of us likes to look bad in front of others. Chances are, if you’ve promised to do something publicly, you’ll be more likely to achieve it. That’s why so many people do things like creating public blogs or Instagram accounts to hold themselves accountable for fitness and weight loss goals. You don’t have to go public with your goals to reap the benefits of accountability. You can do it with co-workers, friends or family members.

3. Find Inspiration

When you are having a tough time staying motivated, one way to get back on track is to find inspiration. For some, that may mean reading inspirational stories of others who’ve succeeded at what you’re working on or it might mean reminding yourself of your own past successes. Other times it might mean writing down or repeating an inspirational quote to yourself. The key is to find inspiration in the little things when things are going downhill.

4. Organize Your Goals

Figure out which goals are the most important to you. Which goals would you be the most motivated to accomplish first? Think realistically about whether each goal is attainable based on your current time, financial or other resources. Sometimes, one goal needs to be accomplished before it makes sense to begin another goal (i.e., goals sometimes build on each other). Focusing on improving one or two areas will help prevent you from feeling overwhelmed because being overwhelmed can kill your motivation. When you feel overwhelmed, you may be tempted to abandon pursuing your goals because you think they can’t be achieved.

5. Listen To Pump-Up Music

Music motivates us. Why do people listen to music when they go to the gym? Because it gives us energy and mentally stimulates us.  We don’t just have an emotional reaction when we listen to music; we also have a physical reaction. Music engages our bodies’ sympathetic nervous systems. Our airway opens, our heart accelerates and our muscles become primed for movement. When the speed, intensity or volume of the music rises, our pulse quickens and our breathing accelerates.

6. Make Your Time Count

Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day and the same 7 days in a week. It’s what you do with your time that matters. Don’t waste your time on things you don’t care about. Don’t waste your time on people who get you down. Make the most of your time!

7. Be Proud

If you are currently struggling with motivation but have had some success with your goals in the past, take a moment to feel pride about your past accomplishments on that goal. Even if you don’t yet have any successes under your belt in the specific area you are trying to be motivated in, you surely have been successful at something in the past that you can feel proud of. By feeling proud of yourself, you will be more likely to remain motivated especially when times get tough.

8. Take A Power Nap

Another way to unleash your brain’s natural energy is to take a power nap. Researchers have found there are clear benefits to napping, including increased alertness after your nap. The key is doing it right. In other words, napping for the right amount of time and at the right time of day makes all the difference.
